Ok, last pics of the house now for the moment anyway, these are the last bits with interesting changes we’ve done. The Kitchen has been redecorated, but we still have plans to change the cupboards & counter in the future, so no photos of that bit yet.
The Entrance hall is really tiny, but I still like it, the best thing is the tiled floor that we did. My fabric hoops are the first thing you see when you come in, I plan on adding more to the wall. Still have a few more pictures to hang in the hall, small ones with black frames that are going next to the door & one frame needs to be painted black. I’m not really a fan of black, but I do think a few black things look good with the floor.
Our lovely tiled floor, perfect for dirty shoes, the hat rack & shoe rack are both from Ikea, but in oak, which they don’t seem to have anymore.
The last photo is from under the stairs, I have one of my dolls there, to show off my dresses. I’m still working on the dress that’s on it for the moment.
The Living Room, pretty much the same set up as we had in our apartment.
I love the brown/grey colour & I painted one wall in a creamy colour so the room wouldn’t get too dark, also good as a background when I’m taking photos =)
If we aren’t watching tv or a film, we can look at the picture above the sofa & pretend we are on holiday, the picture is from Ikea.
Another favourite thing to look at in here is my mask, my SIL bought it for me when she was visiting Venice, I’ve never been there, but would so love to go.
Here’s my half of our workroom or actually I think I have more than half, my hubby to be just got a corner for his computers =)
I spend most of my day here, rolling back & forth from my computer to my sewing table. Sometimes I go out on the balcony & take in the view.
This is our guestroom (future baby room too, I’m hoping). Also know as my dumping ground when I’m working on new ideas, the floor is usually covered in fabric & I put up a foldable table for cutting out patterns & stuff.
I love the green colour, it’s the same as the workroom. I have some special things in this room, photos of family doggies, past & present, lovely postcards that I started collecting when we moved back here. On my chest of drawers I have a doll from Ireland, a ring-holder shoe from New York & a jewellery box from Japan, all presents from family.
Here are some photos of the house, today I’ll show you a few corners of my bedroom. I do love my purple bedroom, luckily my hubby to be doesn’t have a problem with it =D
So back in October I mentioned a change & that I had some things planned. Well it’s taken abit longer than I had thought but I’ve started an Etsy shop.
This was one of the things I had planned to start last year, the other is still on hold for the moment. So I’m all excited & hope the shop will go well.
We’re almost done fixing the small things on the house, but I don’t think we’ll finish this week as we have guests coming to stay.
Back to the point of the post, I’ll be adding more items to my shop over the next few weeks, just need to finish sewing & take photos & all that jazz, please visit the shop & tell all your friends about it =)
A dress I’ve been working on for a customer, hope she likes it, I’m waiting to hear from her.
Other than that I’ve been enjoying the nice weather we had last week & trying to wake myself up from the sleepy weather this week. We did paint the upstairs bathroom last weekend & will do the downstairs this weekend.
My other half starts his holiday next week, so I’m hoping we’ll finish off all the small things around the house & I promise to take some photos of the “after” (Will that make you happy Tara? ;P)
A beautiful flower from a lovely friend, Thanks M.
She showed me the lovely peony bush growing in her garden & told me to smell the flowers, I did after a minute of staring at it.
While I was staring at it my friend asked me what I was thinking & I said it looks like a pretty fluffy skirt, so she gave me a fluffy skirt to take home, to be inspired by =)
